Mr C.F Dube
Board Chairperson
He is the current Independent Chairperson for the NEC Engineering Iron and Steel industry.Canaan Dube is the senior and founding partner at Dube, Manikai and Hwacha Legal Practitioners with vast and extensive experience in public law, criminal procedure and civil procedure. Canaan was until December 2016 Council Chairman of the Midlands State University and is the current Chairman of Hippo Valley Estates and immediate past Chairman of Delta Beverages. He is also the current Chair of the Zimbabwe Listed Entities Forum. Canaan also sits as a director of several companies listed on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange, including Edgars Stores Ltd and Bata Zimbabwe. Canaan holds an LLB (Hons) (Unilag); LLB (UZ); and MBA (MSU) degrees and is in the final stages of acquiring a PhD in Business Leadership through MSU. He is also an accomplished author his work includes “Corporate Governance Non- Executive Directors’ Independence- Fact of Fiction” (2008) and the National Code on Corporate Governance in Zimbabwe (2014). A team player and leader with extensive knowledge and experience in Corporate Governance, Mergers and Acquisitions and Trade and Investment Law.
Advocate B. Magogo
Deputy Chairperson
Mr. Magogo is a distinguished legal practitioner with extensive expertise in labour, family, commercial, and constitutional law. He holds both an LLBS and an LLM from the University of Zimbabwe and has served as an Advocate of the Supreme Courts of Zimbabwe, demonstrating his authority in high-level legal matters.
Key achievements include:
Recipient of the Law Society of Zimbabwe Book Prize, recognizing his academic excellence and commitment to the legal profession.
Comprehensive experience advising on and resolving complex legal and labor-related challenges, which positions him as an asset to the NEC’s governance and strategic objectives.
Mr T.C Nyamatore
General Secretary
Mr T.C. Nyamatore is the General Secretary for National Employment Council for the Engineering Iron and Steel Industry since 2019. He is a sound analytical thinker, committed to excellence who rose up the rank from being a Designated Agent to be the Secretary of the Local Joint Committee and now the General Secretary. He has been with the National Employment Council for the Engineering, Iron and Steel Industry for 13 years. His capabilities have seen him being appointed the Principal Officer for the Engineering Medical Aid since 2019. He manages operations at Sunrise Pharmacy and Helpstars Clinic which are subunits of the Engineering Medical Aid. Prior to joining the National Employment Council Mr T.C. Nyamatore has been with the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare.
Mr T.C. Nyamatore is a holder of a Master’s Degree in Human Rights Peace & Development from Africa University. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Politics and Administration from the University of Zimbabwe and a Certificate in Mediation Skills and Conflict Transformation from the United Nations Development Programme.
Mr P. Muchovo
Senior LJC Secretary
Mr Patrick Muchovo is a principled, self-motivated industrial Relations Practitioner. He is the Senior Local Joint Committee Secretary for the National Employment Council for the Engineering Iron and Steel Industry since 2019.He joined the Employment Council in 2011 as a Designated Agent. Before joining the Employment Council, he was the Human Resources Manager at ZECO Holdings.
Mr Patrick Muchovo has two Master’s Degrees, one in Strategic Management and the other one in Business Administration both from the National University of Science and Technology. He also possesses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Resources Management from the Midlands State University. He has a Labour relations diploma from the Institute of Personnel Management in Zimbabwe.
Mrs P. Chiyangwa
LJC Secretary
Mrs Patricia Chiyangwa is a determined, committed individual seeking to embrace new challenges in the Labour Market. Currently she is the Local Joint Committee Secretary within the National Employment Council for the Engineering, Iron and Steel Industry. She is also an Arbitrator and a Commissioner of Oaths. She joined NEC in 2016 as a Designated Agent and has been with the organisation for the past 6 years. She is willing to learn and apply relevant professional ideas and values to her job. Before joining the National Employment Council, she has been with the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare.
She has vast experience in handling Labour matters. During her tenure with the Ministry of Labour she has had an opportunity to sit in the board for the Advisory Council. Mrs Patricia Chiyangwa is a holder of a Masters’ degree in Development Studies from the Women’s University in Africa, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Administration from the University of Zimbabwe. She also holds a Certificate in project planning and management.

Mrs C. Tanyanyiwa
Designated Agent
Clara joined the organization in October 2009. Clara is a Designated Agent and is responsible for the industrial relations and dispute resolution in the Engineering Industry of Zimbabwe Clara has over 20 years of experience in Labour field. She worked as an Assistant Registrar of the Labour Court. Moved to the Labour Administration and worked as a Labour officer, Principal Labour Officer, Provincial labour Officer. Clara graduated from the University of Zimbabwe with a Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in Sociology and later obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Law ( Conciliation and Arbitration). Clara holds various certificates in dispute resolution (Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration.
Ms R. Risai
Designated Agent
Rosemary has 16 years’ experience in the Engineering Iron and Steel Industry. Having started her career with the organisation as a Data capture clerk with EMF in 2006 she rose through the ranks to the LJC department where she successfully grew to the current position of Designated Agent.
She is a holder of Masters Degree in Business Administration (NUST), B. Com Honors Degree in Human Resources Management (NUST), Certificate in Labour Law, Conciliation and Arbitration (IPMZ), Certificate in Marketing, Public Relations and Selling and Sales (LCCI).
Mr L. Moyo
Designated Agent
Legend Moyo joined the organization in February 2020. He has 12 years of experience in labour relations field. He started as a Labour Officer in March 2010 and was based in Gweru. In July 2014, he joined NEC for the Food and Allied Industries as a Designated Agent for Southern Region.
Legend was educated at Midlands State University where he obtained a BSc Hons in Human Resource Management.
Mrs. J Ngundu
Accountant
Janet Ngundu is an Accountant with NEC Engineering. She has extensive experience in Accounting, Administration and Audit support in Government, Quasi Government, Banking Sector, Tobacco and Logistics Industry. Her key competencies include strategy formulation, risk management and internal controls.
She is a resourceful team player and highly motivated and driven individual who strives on taking up challenges. She holds an MBA in Strategic Leadership (UZ) and Honours degree in Finance and Banking (UZ). She is currently studying towards an Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSAZ) professional qualification. She joined NEC Engineering in July 2020.
Ms P. Makoni
Administrator
Phyllis Makoni is the Administrator and stationed in Head Office. She is also PA to General Secretary. She joined NEC Engineering working under the Local Joint Committee Dept in May 2007 as a Receptionist. Worked as PA to the then General Secretary in 2008 to 2009,PA to the Snr LJC Secretary from 2016-2019. She was promoted to Assistant Administrator in April 2019. She holds a Diploma in Business Administration (City &Guilds) B Com Honours in Human Resources Management(MSU) and is currently studying Masters’ degree in HRM(MSU).
Mr I. Tendaupenyu
IT Manager
Mr Isheanesu Tendaupenyu started his carrier in 2010 as he was engaged by Zb bank of Zimbabwe, he worked for 2years and later moved to Tanzania East Africa where he delivered as a Systems Administrator for Tigo. He moved back home to Zimbabwe and joined NEC Engineering in 2016 and where he is currently serving.
He graduated with Honors Degree in Information Systems from the Midlands State University and also did certifications with Cisco Networking, a professional member of the computer society of zimbabwe and currently completing his master's degree in Computer science.
